44 JERSEY RECIPIENT (2019)

What Is Your Favorite Falcon Memory?

My favorite Falcon memory is not one many people would think I would choose. I have had many tremendous experiences when competing as a Falcon, from beating Kennedy Catholic, to making it to the semifinals to play Bothell. However, my favorite memory was my junior year in the KingCo championship against Mount Si. Danny Metzker, a fellow 44, had an unfortunate injury that did not allow him to play in the game. I had my first ever varsity start in the KingCo championship against the heavily favorited Mount Si team and we ended up winning that game. I didn’t play great, but just being able to play, compete and win with the team was one of my favorite memories.

What Did It Mean To Wear The 44 Jersey?

Growing up my entire life in Woodinville, going through the junior football program, attending every Friday night game and having my dad as one of the coaches, wearing #44 meant the world to me. I never personally talked to Parker, but my dad was lucky enough to have coached him. I heard the stories from my dad and the other the coaches about the type of person Parker was on and off the field. I wanted to live up to that and exemplify what being #44 meant and how he impacted the community. I continue to think about how Parker would have carried himself in different situations and try to recreate that much as much as possible.

What Are You Doing Today? (written 12-7-22)

I am currently attending to Auburn University all the way in Alabama. I am studying Biomedical Science on the premed track and am hoping one day to be an orthopedic surgeon. I can confidently say hearing about Parker and wearing the #44 jersey helped me start my journey on this path, and helped me become the man I am today. WAR EAGLE.
